Black Clay Bark Cup

I went for a walk in the woods a few kilometers from Berlin and was inspired to reproduce the familiar yet fascinating structure of bark I saw all around me. 

I made a small series of hand-pinched footed cups from a gorgeous raw black clay. There are 5 available and you will receive one. There is some variation among them but they measure around 9cm in height and 8cm in diameter. 

The outside is left unglazed and the inside features my matte white glaze. Due to the interaction with the black clay, the glaze is beautifully raw and rough. It has a wild nature to it. 

It is handmade so it is not a perfect round object. 

All my pieces are handmade by me in my Berlin studio. They feature glazes I made and formulated. I recommend hand-washing this particular bowl.
